Motherhood to me...

On a fellow blog that I follow, the writer asked us to find a picture of our children or our mothers or all of us together that really represents motherhood to us. So I started digging around in my photos. Granted, I don't have many photos. Not having a camera does that. However, on this day, Lil Mr. V and I were running around the house. He with his "cape" that we fashioned out of a little blanket, and me chasing after him. We were having such a good time, we came to the desk and shot a quick webcam photo. For me, THIS is motherhood. He's grinning and having fun. I'm laughing along with him. And though it's FAR from perfect, it is a precious picture because of the memory of him being the "Caped Crusader" before he really even knows what superheros are. Mother's Day is this coming weekend. Just sit back and think of how great it is to be a Mom. Or just how lucky you are to have/had one. I know I'm blessed by having the Mom that I do and by having the son that I have. :)

  3. Thank you, Ms. Bonni for stopping by. :) The more the merrier, I say!

I really liked the idea, Ms. C.Michele. It was really harder to do than I thought. I'll be honest, I wanted to gravitate to the more professionally done pictures, but for me that wasn't motherhood. :) Motherhood isn't perfect, it's little stolen moments like this one. And I kept coming back to this one and this one is the "perfect" one. :)

  4. Good post. I agree that "mom moments" are usually best defined "in the moment." And who doesn’t love capes made out of blankets?! ;-)
